Karachi - 15-December-2024: Founder of PWDs-network, Zaigham Mahmood Rizvi and Executive Committee Member, Sarwat Nasim Shah, recently met with Kanwar Shujat Ali, District Election Commissioner Central, to discuss an innovative initiative - a Mock Poll Activity for Visually Impaired Persons. This event will be hosted by Shahid Memon at the Pakistan Disable Foundation on December 18, 2024
It aims to promote inclusive elections and empower persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Pakistan.
The Mock Poll Activity is a significant step towards ensuring that PWDs are able to exercise their right to vote independently and confidentially. The event will not only raise awareness about the importance of inclusive elections but also provide an opportunity for visually impaired individuals to practice voting.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote the empowerment of PWDs in Pakistan.
