ISLAMABAD - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced that applications for postal ballots for the by-election in PP-52, Sialkot-IX, can be submitted until May 16, 2025. According to electoral laws, government officials assigned election duties, armed forces personnel, their spouses, and individuals detained in prisons can apply for postal ballots. Furthermore, persons with physical disabilities holding a Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) indicating their disability are also entitled to cast their vote through postal ballots. In addition, voters residing in PP-52 who are currently living abroad temporarily but wish to vote via postal ballot are eligible to apply by submitting proof of their employment abroad. Applications for postal ballots must be submitted within three days of the election schedule announcement.
